The Next morning Jeremy awoke with a wish to get a job in the Military Career, so he went to the paper and found one. When that wish was fulfilled he had a hankering to eat at the Bistro.
So to celebrate his new job he took Kiplan out for lunch. 
They sat in silence for the entire meal and just shoveled food. 
Then Kiplan got a call from Agnes. While he droned on and on about her convertible, Jeremy went off to a different table to read. 
Then a strange woman came up to Jeremy and introduced herself as Veronica. They had a pleasant but short conversation. Before he had to leave, though, he learned that Veronica is ambitious and her favorite color is "spice brown."Next: A Night Under the Stars
