When Jeremy wakes up from his morning nap he considers him and his brother lucky to be alive from the fire earlier that day. He looks forward to this last day off before he starts work.
To relax and enjoy his day, he reads his book, "A Magnetic Attraction"
...Watches his soaps...
And walks from room to room in a general stupor of hopeless romantic thoughts. 
Jeremy paid little attention to Kiplan, even though he was always there. Lurking. Watching. 
Plotting. 
and thinking about the oven catching into another glorious blaze.
